It’s an FDA-approved device that uses radiofrequency energy to deliver deep heat to the adipose tissue. It’s clinically proven effective for body sculpting, fat reduction, and skin tightening. It’s not intended for overall weight loss. Rather, truSculpt targets pockets of fat that stubbornly cling to the abdomen, thighs, chin, and buttocks and don’t respond to diet or exercise. truSculpt essentially melts the fat and your body reabsorbs it.
It’s a comfortable procedure that requires no anesthetic beforehand and no recovery time afterward. Treatment length varies, but generally lasts 15-50 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. During your session, the hand piece that emits radiofrequency energy is placed on top of the treatment area and emits pulses of energy that heats your fat cells, causing them to shrink. Results commonly are most noted within four weeks of the treatment but you’ll note continued improvement for about 12 weeks after a session. Most patients experience adequate improvement with one or two treatments, but the procedure is safe and additional sessions can be performed as necessary.
While truSculpt can’t remove the amount of fat liposuction can and doesn’t tighten skin as effectively as surgical body contouring, it’s a noninvasive, essentially painless procedure. The difference between TruSculpt & cool sculpting:
TruSculpt 3D gradually warms the fat up to 45 degrees centigrade using a gliding radio frequency handpiece. The sensation has been likened to that of a warm stone massage. Cool sculpting freezes the fat by suctioning the area up into a freezing device.
