Dr. Pallan has thoroughly researched various body sculpting methods, carefully comparing their effectiveness and safety. She is happy to recommend the truSculpt method as a superior technique for reducing pockets of stubborn body fat. She is the only medical provider in the Moon Pennsylvania area who uses truSculpt.
It’s an FDA-approved device that uses radiofrequency energy to deliver deep heat to the adipose tissue. It’s clinically proven effective for body sculpting, fat reduction, and skin tightening. It’s not intended for overall weight loss. Rather, truSculpt targets pockets of fat that stubbornly cling to the abdomen, thighs, chin, and buttocks and don’t respond to diet or exercise. truSculpt essentially melts the fat and your body reabsorbs it.
It’s a comfortable procedure that requires no anesthetic beforehand and no recovery time afterward. Treatment length varies, but generally lasts 15-50 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. During your session, the hand piece that emits radiofrequency energy is placed on top of the treatment area and emits pulses of energy that heats your fat cells, causing them to shrink. Heat levels are adjustable to ensure you don’t experience any discomfort. You have to remove jewelry or piercings from the targeted area before the procedure.
Generally, truSculpt is a safe procedure that’s most effective for patients with a body mass index under 30. truSculpt is not for use by patients who:
Dr. Pallan discusses your medical history and other important factors, such as your overall expectations, before deciding whether truSculpt is right for you.
Results commonly are most noted within four weeks of the treatment but you’ll note continued improvement for about 12 weeks after a session. Most patients experience adequate improvement with one or two treatments, but the procedure is safe and additional sessions can be performed as necessary.
While truSculpt can’t remove the amount of fat liposuction can and doesn’t tighten skin as effectively as surgical body contouring, it’s a noninvasive, essentially painless procedure. It often takes a couple of months for the bruising and swelling related to liposuction to subside. Surgical procedures such as a tummy tuck can take months to heal. truSculpt is much less expensive compared to traditional laser liposuction. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Pallan to discuss truSculpt and how it can work for you.
The difference between TruSculpt & cool sculpting:
TruSculpt 3D gradually warms the fat up to 45 degrees centigrade using a gliding radio frequency handpiece. The sensation has been likened to that of a warm stone massage. Cool sculpting freezes the fat by suctioning the area up into a freezing device. TruSculpt offers the additional benefit of tightening the skin & reducing the appearance of cellulite by stimulating collagen through warming.
For circumferential reduction, typically only one treatment is necessary. Patients report results of losing inches and improved appearance in 6-8 weeks, although maximum results can take up to 12 weeks.
